Peach Crumble Dessert
Components
- 6 cups sliced peeled ripe peaches
- one/four cup packed brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-function flour
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- one/two teaspoon grated lemon zest
- one/two teaspoon ground cinnamon
- TOPPING:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- one teaspoon baking powder
- one/four teaspoon salt
- one/4 teaspoon floor nutmeg
- one large egg, area temperature, frivolously beaten
- one/two cup butter, melted and cooled
- Vanilla ice product, optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°. Area peaches in a greased shallow two-1/two-qt. Dutch oven, solid iron pan or 2-one/two-qt. ovenproof baking dish. In a small bowl, blend brown sugar, flour, lemon juice, zest and cinnamon sprinkle over the peaches.
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Stir in egg right up until the combination resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle in excess of the peaches. Pour butter evenly in excess of topping.
- Bake 35-forty minutes. If desired, provide with ice cream.

I would say this is NOT a crumble, but a cobbler as it has no oats in the topping, that is why is was like a cake - make perception?
The topping tasted like cake and not a great crunchy crumble. It was like a cross among a cobbler and a crumble, failing at the two. Why the recipe doesn’t explain to you to mix the sugar/lemon into the peaches is past me. By not carrying out it the peaches ended up semi sweet on the prime and bland on the bottom.
Really Good. Only factor I did different was to leave out the lemon peel as effectively. A minor sweet but good.
This was Delightful. I didn't alter anything other than I remaining out the lemon peel (I did not have 1 at the time) and I reduce the recipe in one/4 (performing one/four of an egg was intriguing. 1 large egg is approx 1/4C so a quarter of that would be one tbsp of egg which I measured out following whisking it). My spouse and I ate the total point. Our peaches tasted so fresh, and because they were not overly sweet, the sugar in the topping was best. We topped ours with great whip. I am going to certainly be creating this again.
This is best as created. I did not alter a thing and have created it two times with refreshing peaches and served it with vanilla ice cream. My company appreciated it and so did my family. This is a keeper!
I decreased the white sugar to a fifty percent of a cup and added a half of a cup of oats like the others advised. I was not amazed.
This is totally tasty! My husband and I love this recipe. The flavors of the lemon and cinnamon insert so considerably to the peaches. I did halve the sugar in the crumble and it was ideal. I'm definitely conserving this to my recipe box! Many thanks for a superb dessert recipe.
I halved the sugar in both the leading and base and added a few oats to the topping to boost the dry substances. It was exceptional!

Generally, I am not a enthusiast of peach desserts (despite the fact that I adore refreshing peaches). But this recipe is an exception. I did as others proposed and cut the white sugar in 50 % and I also removed the lemon peel and included vanilla. Scrumptious.
